Kerrang Front Cover

Unconventionally, the masthead isn't in the top third of the magazine, it is on the top third of the page as it stands out and is most likely where the readers look first. Also what is effective, is most magazine makers cover part of the masthead up to suggest that the readers already know the name of the magazine as it is known and read regularly.

It also has a main cover line in the middle of the page along with a personal pronoun in it which is clever as it makes the readers feel like they are being talked to as if they may be being questioned.

It uses a rhetorical question to reel the readers in as they would want to answer it as well as reading more. It also stands out as it is being backed up a by a black background.

It also conventionally uses a main image of a famous person to relate the magazine to glamour and fame. It also may suggest that the readers may get glamour and fame after reading the magazine.
