Remake - Remodel Task. NME.

In this task, I had to use the 'NME' masthead and use it to develop a front cover with all the codes and conventions of a magazine. However, you will notice that it doesn't follow any real house style based on two factors. The first being all the 'NME' front covers I have analysed, a model amount of them follow no house style and secondly, the 'NME' aims for a target audience that is gothic or 'emo' therefore, it could image their appearance.

So firstly, I have placed the masthead convetionally in the top left third of the page as it stands out and makes it appealing to the readers.

I have also added the pug '' Awesome Linkin Park Album'' as it entices people to read the magazine. They know that reading the magazine will give them something they want. In some ways it is ''creating a want when there isn't a need''.

Although my font is not in the same font, this is conventional as all ''NME'' magazines are like this, however I have used the same font colours otherwise the magazine wouldn't look appealing and because red, black and white are the most used colours for the ''NME'' magazine.

Conventionally, I have used a main image which I chose to dominate the page. Hence, I haven't used much text as I wanted the audience to focus more on the image. It is also an image of a person who appears to support the kind of music and issues in this magazine.

I haven't really focus on lighting however I wanted it to look dark as it would fit the colours of the magazine. If it was bright then it would contradrict the magazine. All dark colours and one light colour.

I have placed the barcode conventionally at the bottom of the page so it doen't interfere with the rest of the magazine. The date is above the barcode.

I have used the Puff in the bottom right hand corner ''Biffy Clyro...'' as it mentions a band and furthermore it is an exclusive. These make the readers think they know more than everyone else and are very effective.
