The first main change I made to my magazine front cover is the Masthead. Unlike the conventional magazine front covers, my Masthead didn't dominate the page so I made it alot bigger so it could fit on my page. By making it bigger it stands out for the readers of Magazine.
Secondly, I took the main coverlines out of the boxes as they didn't look very quthentic and looked more like a cartoon magazine.Getting rid of these boxes also allowed me to clear space on the page to focus on the Main Image. I still put them in boxes but moved them out of the way to continue focusing on the Main Image.
I made the Coverlines 'The Real Gangsta' and 'JBeezy On His Life' alot bigger because they needed to stand out more. These also feature in the contents so the reader's would need to see them easily.
Lastly I made the images bigger so they were easily visible to the readers and to fill a little more space. All of the editing was done in a word processing document however some on the editing to the Images were done in other files such as 'Paint.net'.

Contents - Final.

My first change was of the main image. I got rid of it and made it alot smaller because it dominated the page way to much . I still continued to but 'Contents' over it along with some of the letters in capitals for the theme throughout. Secondly I added more features of the magazine into the contents as my previous draft didn't have many features of the magazine in it.
I put the main features in boxes as they stood out.

Double Paged Spread - Final.

I made alot of changes to this.
My first change was making the font alot smaller and adding more questions as when i printed it off they font was way too big. By making the font smaller I could fit more questions and answer's onto the page.
I kept the quotation over the image as it was effective as it linked the character in the image to the word passage.
My next change was to the top left of the page where there was previously loads of space. Firstly, my main aim was to get rid of the space and to fill it up so I added an image. The image had been edited in a paint document so that all the background had been deleted so it was the person. I then made the information next to him overlap him so that it linked him with the information next to him.
I edited the image of him so that it fitted the grime theme which fits in with the rest of my magazine however, the other image are edited much more vigorously.

Image Manipulation.

I manipulated this image using Paint.net on the computer and it allowed me to get rid of the back ground and let me just use the main image. I have now put this image as it is, in my double paged sread.

Background Removal.

This is the image I used on my contents page. I have played around with it in Paint.net to see if I could get the background cut out and as you can see I did. I also used different effects and mixed them together to make his face look more sinister. I haven't decided whether or not to keep the background but I will most like use this one without the background as it shows the person in the image on his own.
Paint.net
I used various rectangle sizes to delete the main parts of the image then I used a rubber to get the finer parts. I could zoom in and out to get rid of specific pixels.
